About the event

What can I expect?

To learn to deliver an awesome programme of speech & drama activities that young children love and look forward to every time. These skills will set them on the path towards being confident communicators and understanding the ‘game of learning’ so they soar into primary school.

  • How to plan for creative fun drama activities
  • How to build oral language, speaking and listening skills, creativity, coordination, imagination and teamwork.
  • How to make learning collaborative.
  • How to grow curious and creative humans.

Early Childhood Kaiako/Teachers, Team Leaders, Centre Managers and Owners.

Who is the workshop facilitator?

Janine Burchett (known as Nina) is the Founder and Director of Shine School of Confidence.  Nina trained at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, performed with Limbs Dance Company, Dance Pacific, Mercury Theatre, BluePrint Theatre and then continued her acting training at Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School. Nina has an extensive list of television and film credits, her most recent including A Love Yarn, Under the Vines, Hillary, Brokenwood Mysteries and Backward Showgirl Variation.  As the founder and director of Shine School of Confidence she loves to see students thriving in a creative and supportive environment.
