About the event

Following the face-to-face workshop, educators are invited to take part in a series of live, facilitated online Community of Practice sessions. These workshops are designed to support ongoing learning, shared inquiry, and meaningful professional dialogue as kaiako and leaders explore how AI can be used responsibly in early childhood education.

These sessions are a space for participants to reflect on implementation, share what is working in their service, and deepen their understanding of AI’s evolving role in ECE practice. They provide opportunities to build collective confidence, strengthen professional judgement, and explore how ethical AI use can remain aligned with the values of Aotearoa early childhood education.

These sessions will focus on:

  • Shared inquiry into AI-enhanced documentation and communication, including practical strategies for strengthening learning stories, reflections, and whānau-facing communication in ways that remain authentic and teacher-led
