About the event
The Storytelling and Narrative Pedagogies workshop explores the transformative power of storytelling in Early Childhood Education. Kaiako will develop storytelling skills, connect with stories from their community, and use storytelling as a rich provocation to inspire learning. The workshop highlights strategies to support tamariki in becoming confident storytellers, fostering their creativity and voice. With an emphasis on storytelling as a culturally responsive pedagogy, participants will learn how to honor diverse narratives while deepening engagement. Practical guidance on planning, implementing, and assessing storytelling practices will equip educators to create meaningful, story-rich environments that celebrate identity and nurture learning.
