About the event

The Storytelling and Narrative Pedagogies workshop dives into the transformative power of storytelling in early learning environments. Participants will develop their skills as storytellers, explore ways to connect with stories from their communities, and use storytelling as a rich provocation to inspire curiosity and learning. The workshop provides practical strategies for supporting tamariki in becoming confident storytellers, fostering their creativity and sense of identity. With a focus on planning, implementation, and assessment, educators will learn to create story-rich environments that are meaningful, culturally responsive, and engaging, enhancing the learning journey for both kaiako and tamariki.
