We've partnered with your local Ministry of Education SELO team to bring you a range of FULLY FUNDED Early Literacy workshops for your teachers and leaders from our team of nationally recognised experts that will help your unique service become the best it can be!

 

We have a series of four in-person workshops hosted for each cohort, as well as a great lineup of live online workshops that you and your team can attend at no cost!

Our in-centre personalised PLD sessions are designed to support leaders, kaiako, and educators to confidently apply what they’ve learned, right where it matters most. In-centre support sessions must be completed before the 16th of June 2026.

Who is this for?

If you’ve attended one of our online or in-person workshops, you’re eligible for 2 hours of tailored in-centre support for your team.

 

How does it work?

  1. Attend a workshop (online or face-to-face) 

  2. Register your interest in in-centre support through the form

  3. 15-minute planning call with your allocated facilitator (optional)

    • Identify your priorities 

    • Select focus areas from learning outcomes or licensing criteria 

  4. In-centre visit (1 hour OR 2 hours total) 

 

Delivery options:

  • 1 hour: Facilitator meets with your team leader(s)

    • Practical strategies 

    • Real examples tailored to your setting 

  • 1 hour: Facilitator supports your wider team

    • Staff meeting session 

    • Guidance on implementing outcomes 

 

Our sessions are shaped around your needs and what you want to dive deeper into after attending a live workshop. You may choose to focus on:

  • Early Literacy & Teaching Practice

  • Understanding early literacy in an ECE setting 

  • Creating rich, language-filled environments 

  • Using children’s culture and identity to enhance learning 

  • Planning for literacy in tamariki-led learning 

  • Observing and recognising early literacy development 

  • Strengthening Practice through Internal Evaluation

  • Support your team to confidently use internal evaluation to strengthen delivery of Te Whāriki.
