What can I expect?

What does it mean to document learning outcomes? Together we will explore a range of tools for developing learning outcomes for purposeful impact.  We will unpack assessment and evaluation through connecting learning outcomes and how to do curriculum mapping. This workshop helps services evaluate their progress and achieve successful ERO feedback.

What are the learning outcomes?

For you:

  • A deeper understanding about the use of learning outcomes. 
  • Meaningful and purposeful documentation that shows clear learning achievements. 
  • The Learning Outcomes Framework to serve as a guide for teachers in the design, implementation, and assessment of a tamariki learning.   
  • Backward mapping and identifying goals. 
  • Aligning learning activities with specific learning outcomes.

Who is the workshop facilitator?

Preety Sehgal specialises in policy development, system organisation, and staff development, with notable strengths in Human Resource processes and structuring management and governance roles. Additionally, she offers support in regulatory compliance, and ERO evaluation preparation and investigations. 

With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education (ECE), Preety has held diverse roles including Kaiako, Centre Manager, Operations Manager, Education Review Officer, and ECE Consultant in Auckland. Her extensive background also includes working with the Ministry of Education as a SELO provider.Preety is a divergent thinker who inspires and energises teams and leaders through professional learning, development programs. She is passionate about helping owners and managers streamline their systems and procedures amd making complex documentation simple, effective and outcome focused. She aims to create a more supported and aligned workplace for all. With her evaluation skills she can work alongside you to target your priorities and tailor make PLD that is responsive to your teams needs.
